Art has been with mankind since the beginning of our time. From blowing pigment through pursed lips onto a hand for a silhouette on the wall of a torch-lit cave, to hands carving a walrus tooth into something nature has never seen before, we are the only species that has a need to create that which does not directly benefit our survival. This visionary quest, perhaps genetic but probably spiritual, has endowed mankind with the capacity to climb down from the trees and step onto the moon.

Directions to Studio: At the intersection of Hwy 54 and Hwy 380 in Carrizozo, turn south on Hwy 54.
Go left past the Wells Fargo Bank building, then right on historic Twelfth Street.
The 401 Mercantile Building is on the NE corner of 12th & 5th.
