Steve and Madeleine Sabo create one of a kind wood art from locally found wood near their mountain top studio in Nogal, New Mexico.  All of their hand crafted bowls, vessels, urns and other creative pieces have been turned on a wood lathe, sanded and finished to bring out the beauty of wood.

An accomplished artist, Madeleine has won many awards, including a Best in Show from the NM Women’s Club State Convention and an Honorable Mention in the New Mexico State Fair.  She has also been featured in Country Magazine and New Mexico Magazine. After losing her sight, she continues to create exquisite items on the lathe.

Steve has been working in wood for 50 years and has won several awards including Best in Show in the New Mexico State Fair. As an accomplished woodturner, he gives lessons and demonstrations from basic woodturning to more advanced techniques. Their work has been displayed in many galleries around the country.
