About the Loop

The Lincoln County Art Loop began 32 years ago in 1995.

A gathering of creative artists who resided in the county decided to create a loop outside of Ruidoso so that visitors to the area would be able to experience the novelty of visiting artists where they worked.

Artists demonstrated their talents from potters to painters to batik artists to jewelers and many more.

Patrons were excited! The first year was successful and so the Loop began its tradition.

Since 2005, Ruidoso was added to this experience.

The Lincoln County Art Loop has become one of the oldest and most successful studio tours in Southern New Mexico.

Artists become members, ensuring the art is of distinctive quality.

Lincoln County Art Loop allows art lovers to explore the scenic landscapes of Lincoln County

while the visiting artists in their creative spaces.

This self-guided tour offers a three day behind-the-scene look

into the creative heart of Southern New Mexico,

providing a unique opportunity to purchase original work

directly from the Artist.

The Lincoln County Art Loop is more than just a gallery hop.

It is a journey through the stunning Sacramento Mountains of the Ruidoso area.

It offers a diverse range of styles and mediums of art,

handcrafted in the private art studios that visitors can visit.

Hours are: 10-5 Friday and Saturday / 12-4 on Sunday

Admission is free,

making it a perfect family-friendly addition

to the 4th of July weekend festivities.
